Great 'Adventures in Decent Music' thread as usual Stef always get some required tracks from these mixes Guessed Sunburst Band's - What's your sign was based on something but never heard it before, good track, no idea on artist though same with Half a Minute.

Just a couple of spots out the box on this one.... Shalamar - Night To Remember & Real To Reel - Love Me Like This. Always love the Real To Reel cut from the first time I heard it, just class & has aged pretty well, TUNE.

The Shalamar tracks is one of my favourite tracks of that early 80ies, late Disco period. Great mid-tempo groover and proper song writing (super cheesy video though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guB_jQkCzCo ). same with Real to Reel. The tune was recently "covered" / dubbed by Floating Points "Love me like this", which is beeing played before the original track kicks in. here is a great soultrain video of the tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B8rg2-La6I

The first tune you mentioned is originally called Whachersign by Pratt & McClain from 76 on Reprise Records.

Re Half a minute. Matt Bianco just released a "Official Greatest Hits album" (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003NKK ... sr=8-2-ent) with all his best songs rerecorded with the original artists. Half a minute was remixed by Joey Negro/Sunburst Band. A remix that takes this great song onto a new level. perfect execution of a remix job!!
