adventures in black sunshine in itms??

Postby aimac » Fri Oct 08, 2004 7:31 pm

does anybody know when adventures in black sunshine will be released in the itunes music store?
i am from germany and we have a lot of copy protection on audio cd that will make lots of problems in certain players....
i am not willing to by one of these non-cd's.....

there is also a cd of incognito with only one track in itms. will there be more available in the future?

Can't stand those sites like iTunes - you can't do a full search to see what they have unless you sign up. Also, I bet they're not in mp3 format either.

As for copy protection - I doubt you will have a problem with AIBS - My DVD player doesn't play them and it plays AIBS fine so it's not copy protected. If in doubt buy the UK version from amazon.

FYI: they are AAC-encoded MP3 files. :-)

I'm not geeky enough to know beyond that... but i have been happy with my downloads through iTunes so far-- for albums that I don't need or care to have any extras with. For incogniito and several others, I want to have that case with the cover and the credits. I still like having an album format of some sort! 8)

What irritates the hell out of me is that I can't download from other countries' iTunes sites! I would love to hear some of the other countries' stuff!

same with me! i like to have some music on cd /w booklet & some nice pictures...

itms: you can only buy in the store of your country - better said: in the country refering to your credit-card....

i am quiet happy with itunes & my macs - the only thing i will never support is copy protection on cd's.
the quality of shared music is too bad and the people who do so are doing it just to get as much as they can. the do not really listen to it and they never would buy it!
here in germany as they converted to the euro the cd's cost now 100% more than before and now they blame it on copying.....
thats the wrong way! (all my opinion!)
last november i was in london for a few days - it was a good opportunity to buy non-protected cd's of my favourite artists!
wonder if they always know what bullshit their record company/labels do....

dbPoweramp Music Coverter and Audio CD Imput solves all troubles with copy protected CDs.... Once you have the music ripped to your HD you can copy how often you like ......

What about mp3 digital watermarking? This is where certain information (e.g. who downloaded / purchased the song) is encypted into the file?

:o I was refering to the copy protected CDs

As far as I understand the technical announcements on the traxsource page you can forward the dloaded stuff but it's not a good idea to
put them to your file sharing list in case you use kazzaa or similar file
sharing programs . As long as it's kept "in the family " you are fine .

I have been able to convert my iTunes downloads into MP3s (removing the copyright) with no bother. Then rip them to audio for whatever purpose. The process is to use a utility called HYMN to convert direct from m4p to m4a and then use dbPowerAmp to convert from m4a to Mp3.

Both these are free.

1337 tip: Dragging the m4p's onto the hymn.exe file saves the bother of the command line etc.
